My wife and I were married on May 21st of 2005. It was
perhaps one of the most important days of our lives and it almost went by
too fast, but we have a chance to look back on the events of that busy time
in the form of a video. Now normally when you think about wedding videos,
you recall them being “amateurish” or one sided in nature. It often only
captures a small portion of the events that occur during a wedding ceremony
and the events to follow.
The video that Paul Curfman shot for us however, is unique in that it tells
a complete story using both imagery and a soundtrack that captures perfectly
our special day. Paul gave family and friends a chance to speak on camera
before the ceremony and in one particular shot, you hear my mother’s voice
tell of how she had prayed for someone to come into my life. He then
intertwines the music of “Somewhere in the World” into the video as you see
images of my wife as a little girl followed by clips of us taking our
engagement photos together. This really meant a great deal to us because he
managed to capture the moments in between the shots during our engagement
pictures where we were nervously smiling at one another. It is just
incredible how he managed to tie that into our wedding day.
Paul also gave us many humorous moments to look back on as well, from the
slow motion bouquet toss (and the subsequent bridesmaid injury), to the
break dancing nephews, and last but not least, the nervous groom before the
wedding. All of these things are so important for us to look back on.
My wife and I are two people that have a strong faith in the Lord. One gift
contained within the video is that our faith can easily be seen: in the
interviews beforehand, the images of the church during “Goin to the Chapel”,
and the footage of the service itself. Paul’s editing skills are second to
none and yes we are obviously partial to our own wedding video but this is
the first video I’ve seen where people have come into our home wanting to
watch it again. We have something in our possession that we can share with
both friends and family with great joy. We would like to personally thank
Paul Curfman for his hard work and thoughtful dedication to our wedding
video. We never imagined that such a personal touch could be applied to an
event that means so much to the both of us.

Michael and Ginny Mitchell
Thank you Michael and
Ginny, I like to say that I put together a video that is both memorable and
entertaining.
